bonjour and happy rainy monday morning to my local readers. the perfect way to start a week: slow and reflective.

woke up at the ungodly hour of 6am. looked at the clock for a bit and pondered all that was waiting for me today: first meeting at 9am, final phone call at 9:30pm plus meeting after meeting in between. thus, i decided to get out of bed, make green tea, and start my day. then the rain began to fall and i was grateful for this mOMent.

above is a photo of moi pre-dinner party on saturday evening (guest starring louis the pug). many of you have asked for photos of how i don TranquiliT and it's been on my to-do list for months "snap photo for blog" and for some reason (usually rushing out the door), it hasn't happened. so, on saturday night as we were heading out, i had beau snap this shot: 2-in-1 top over sparkly tights, tall boots, and vintage necklace. topped off with pink cast, of course!

last night i posted this quote by buddha to my facebook profile: "thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. happiness never decreases by being shared." such a beautiful reminder as we start our week to recognize the impact we can have on others - yes, even debbie downer in the cube next to you.
